Would You Eat a Purple Tomato?

I'm not sure about this: Scientists in the United Kingdom have created purple tomatoes.

On one hand, gentically modified foods and organisms (GMOs) sound too Frankenstein for me. On the other, these tomatoes were created to be high in anthocyanins, one of the super nutrients in blackberries, cranberries and chokeberries. Neonds13 is pretty against them and posted interesting info the group she runs called The Informed Parent.
