During last night's episode of The Biggest Loser, when the pairs were split into the Blue Team and the Black Team, I was interested to see how much the contestants drew on each other for support. Many of them seemed to think (at least at first) that they wouldn't be able to lose weight without their partner. Did you notice this as well? It made me think about how important it is to have the support of others when going through the weight-loss journey. (Oh, and while we're on the subject, we absolutely must discuss WHO won the golden ticket...SPOILER ALERT!)
Specifically, Dina and Rudy, and Danny and Liz, were worried that they wouldn't be as successful losing weight being apart from their partner. They apparently drew strength and motivation from being paired with each other. This point was driven home for me during the family video segment when one of the contestant's wife said the rest of his family was at home losing weight because they were so motivated by him being on the show.
Do you see any parallels between this and your own weight-loss journey? Who supports you and/or who do you support? Would losing weight be easier if you had MORE support?
And now for the gossip...
I can't help but wonder if something is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. I mean, I can't believe Tracy won the golden ticket (and thus had the power to choose the Black Team and the Blue Team)!!!! Seems ridiculously staged to me.
And then after all the Tracy-hate talk and plotting (Liz!), they voted Coach Mo off! Definitely got a little teary at that point. What is going on with the show?
What did you think of last night's episode of The Biggest Loser?

They voted Mo off? I fell asleep, so thanks for letting me know what happened. I think the show is playing too much on the drama. I would like to see more support and less hate and competition.
I agree, science_spot! Too much drama. There is so much crying, crying, crying. I cry sometimes when I watch the show--I get it, it's emotional, life-changing, etc.--but in every single scene? Enough is enough! :)
I think something is shady. Everyone hates Tracey!! She should have gone home.
