According to a recent study, working out in a group makes you happier than working out on your own, it actually increases endorphin levels.
That may be so, but for me, it completely depends on my mood. Sometimes, I enjoy having someone to chat with while I run. Other times, I want that time all to myself (we all know how far and few between those are).
What about you? Do you like working out with someone or do you prefer to be by yourself?

Social...the work-outs I'm doing right now are really hard and some days I dread them. My mom is my workout buddy and if she's not here to spur me on I'm pretty sure some days I would just opt out.
well, some days i wish i had a true committed friend to workout with or go on walks. So, I go by myself on my long walks with my dog and i find this great. An when i work out its always alone watching my t.v. i get more done. But, I sometimes wish I had someone to work out with. that would be awesome.
I'm a loner. I love to go on long walks with my husband and daughter, but usually I just get up early and get it over with before the hustle and bustle begins.
It depends - I like working out alone b/c I can just plug in to my MP3 and listen to angry, pounding fast music and that alone motivates me and passes the time.
On the other hand, working out with other people, esp. my trainer is motivating, but then I feel obligated to talk to whoever I'm with and that gets frustrating b/c I'm so out of breath!!
