I think about death...a lot. Maybe it's normal for a mom-to-be, and it's not like I am obsessed with it or anything, but, well, you know...I want to be around for a long, long time for my family. Obviously. We all do.

So when I read that life expectancy in the US hit a new high in The Washington Post, I got really happy.

But check out this fact: Did you know that the US is about 30th in line for longest life span? Guess who lives the longest?

The Japanese -- their life expectancy is 83 years old. America is now at 78.

I hope we all continue to take better care of ourselves and our families so that number can rise even higher in the coming years.
