When it comes to working out, I'm full of excuses. Right now pregnancy is my excuse. (I know, not a good one.) But when I am in the mood, I love to do some stretching and I already do a lot of walking, so I consider that some sort of exercise.
Did I just make a form of an excuse there?
Sort of.
I think the biggest reason many of us don't work out is because of time -- there just isn't enough of it in a day to get everything done, right?
But when I think about it, that can be the excuse for just about anything.
Sometimes just looking at your excuse can help you get motivated...or not.
For those of you interested, here's some help on sticking to a workout routine, finding time to exercise, and making exercising outdoors fun.

I tried a cycling class this week (I"m 26 weeks pregnant) it was fun- (except for that bike seat, what is wrong with the people that made those things?), but I can't afford it- I used to walk and jog regularly with my toddler in her stroller, but now it's too hot and she won't sit in the stroller anymore- after the baby, I would have to push TWO kids around while jogging, lol, not going to happen, I have a pilates video here...somewhere- but I tried it once and fell over on some legos- ouch (and I kind of think I was pushed, my l/o had that guilty smile on her face)- yeah, tons of great excuses...
I killed all of my excuses, I work out almost every day. The only time I excuse myself for a day or two is when it's that time of the month...aerobics + horrible cramps don't mix.
I do enough walking is all.
I would like to do regular exercises. But I feel that I've already done my quota for the day. My 7 month old is 20 lbs now, and i do a lot of bending over to pick him up and put him down. And I squat sometimes when I play with him. And just carrying him makes my arms all rubbery after awhile. LOL, My arms are getting stronger!! And i eat decent meals. I must be doing something right since I can fit back in my jeans!!
My trainer recommended exercise insoles that fit into my sneakers and shoes that work to increase circulation. It's similar to the negative heel that's in some of the really expensive fitness shoes. They're called SmartSole exercise insoles http://www.smartsole.com/ I wear them everywhere I go, they're really comfortable, and I feel the difference in my legs. I saw a discount code MB10 for 10% off on a fitness board.
running around the neighborhood is dull and Central Park only happens once a month =-/
no excuses for me anymore. i run 3 miles after dinner or walk with the whole family for 45 mins. i push the double stroller for the added work out. i dont have a set day i give myself off but i would say on average i take 1 day off a week.
ITS TOO HOT! lol
But, I just bought a Little Black Book-Workout Journal and now I can set a goal for 6 months of workouts, make a plan, record what I did...note what worked and change the plan.
It can handle all the different ways I like to work out...exercise, classes, DVDs, walk, run, bike, hike..even Wii!!!

I used to walk 3 miles a day and then go to the gym. Then I broke my ankle. Stil sitting here with it in a splint cause I also needed surgery on it. Once its off I will be back on schedule!!!!!
I make so many excuses it's not even funny! I used to walk everyday at work on my lunch but now it's too hot. I would need a shower after! Then when I get home, my kids dad goes to work so I'm cooking and cleaning, by the time the kids go to bed, I'm so tired I don't want to do anything. But that changes TODAY! I'm going to get my butt in gear!
