Many people spend more than 30 minutes a day in the bathroom, a new survey finds. This doesn't include bath and shower time.
So the question is, what are they really doing in there? Freshening up makeup or is something else going on?
The survey was paid for by a drug company that wants to sell digestive health products, so the suggestion is that frequent bathroom trips may point to embarrassing digestive problems such as diarrhea, gas and constipation.
That's 8 full days a year spent in the loo. The study authors seem to think that's too much time. (Maybe they don't have children, or they would know that the bathroom is one of the places mom goes to hide.)
Men spend just as much time in the bathroom as women, the survey finds. It also revealed that one in four people make up excuses in front of friends or family for why they are going to the bathroom.

I'm always in the bathroom, weather I'm using it, or hiding in it! LoL
OH Boy yes!! So many times, especially when they where younger! :)
I feel like I am only in there for the quickest minute and only a few times a day!! But if my husband needs to go #2........ hes in there for 30 minutes!! Its scary. I tell him something is wrong and maybe he needs to eat more fiber or something. lol
I am in there for a few minutes at a time, a few times a day... plus a shower of course, but that's much quicker now that I've cut all my hair off. My husband goes in there for a #2 with a magazine tucked under his arm, and comes out 20 minutes later.
I have bladder issues, and now I'm pregnant on top of that. I make no excuses for having to pee about 20-30 times a day.
I have a "pea " sized bladder..always have. I pee at least once an hour..and now preggers like every 30minutes! NO excuses I just go a lot..
But I do some times end up texting on the "pot" lol..which makes the pee break take longer! lol
Since my pregnancy I have had some bladder issues so if I have to... it needed to be done 5 mins ago. I don't think I spend too much time in the bathroom. My boys though, seriously, they take way too long. I don't know what is up with the male anatomy that makes potty time take so long.
