vacation, solo vacationA friend of mine is taking off this weekend, leaving hubby and the kids behind, and is treating herself to some well-deserved "me" time. She's not going anywhere extravagant, just simply driving a couple of hours upstate and spending the weekend in a cute town full of antique shops. She is taking a solocation.

And she's not the only one...more and more people are vacationing solo nowadays. A recent study shows that over 27% of travel is done stag. Some locales even have special solo travel packages!

Personally, I couldn't do a solo vacation, if I'm home alone for more than an hour I end up having conversations with my cat.
