There are so many benefits of orgasm -- besides the great feeling, it helps reduce stress and even helps some sleep. A friend of mine travels a lot and if away from her boyfriend, she masturbates before bed and falls right asleep.
But some don't like it when their significant other practices some self-love...by themself.
For my friend's bachelorette party, I bought her a vibrator -- part of a big package of kinky gifts for the bride-to-be. She told me that her soon-to-be husband got upset when he saw it thinking she wasn't satisfied with their sex life, told her friends, which then made us buy her the vibrator to help her out. This was not at all the case.
Masturbation. It's a touchy subject....
According to a poll of over 1000 CafeMoms,19 percent say their husband does not practice self-love.

No way. It's totally healthy and normal. I am however offering the prize of a dunce hat to the first person who says "ewwwww that iz gross!" like a 12 year old because I know it's going to happen. Sounds like your friend's husband had some insecurity issues.
Sometimes I tell my hubby to go rub one out and leave me alone for once!
oops i meant to vote other. my husband does not masturbate. im sure people are thinking 'yeah right' but he doesnt and i dont either. its not something we believe is right to do. if he did do it, it would bother me a lot.
I voted no.. because my dh doesn't do that sort of thing either.. That's why we married each other.. so we'd have each other. :)
This is so silly! I do not have a problem with it at all. If we didn't have a good sex life I might feel differently, like if he didn't want to be with me or something.
Also, that 19% of wives who say their husbands don't masturbate.... I'll bet in truth it's actually less than 19%. Some men are really good at hiding it.
My BF doesn't masturbate but I do when he isn't home (we're both military so schedules are weird). I actually encourage him to do it, but it's his choice whether he wants to take care of himself in that department or not. I wouldn't be bothered at all if he did it (however, I do think there's a cutoff point... if he was doing it ALL THE TIME as in multiple times a day every day and preferred it over having sex, I might be concerned) but other than that... I think it helps you figure out what you like best and then both partners can make the most of your "romps"!
Before you can begin pleasing anyone else you must know what it means to be pleased yourself. It doesn't matter what you're attempting to do. I never wanted to depend on my husband for any of my pleasures, including sexual ones, so masturbating does not offend me. What I would like to know is for the women who are coupled in arrangements that don't include masturbation, Do you even get orgasms? Coitus doesn't always guarantee the pleasure you want when you want it.
We've also found that if he masturbates about an hour before we have sex, he lasts longer.
We love each other and our sex life is great, but neither one of us wants to put the other in a position where they feel forced to have sex because the other is in the mood when they are not. That's where masturbation comes in :)
it woul bother me if thats all he wanted, and not me. but we can both benefit from some self loving.
