Are You Having More Sex Because of the Recession?

More than half of my friends are out of work because of the recession, including my husband, and what I find interesting is that not only do we have unemployment checks in common, but we're all having a lot more sex.

Talk about a stimulus package!

I can speak for myself and say it's because my hubs and I are staying in more...and getting more creative with our time. Which is great. We're being smart with our money, working off some calories between the sheets, fending off stress by being intimate, and having some great bonding moments.

Of course, it can go the other way, too. The recession is stressful, sometimes causing arguments in the home, and putting distance between couples. But it sure would be great to make the best of a bad situation by getting it on more.

Yes, we are, partly because we're home more in order to save money but also because it's a stress drain for my husband and helps him go to sleep. If he lies awake, his mind goes to unproductive places.

We've had less sex, it use to be every 2 weeks we'd have sex not its about every 2 months....

less alot less money is a huge stress point and im always stressed so by the time i unwind and calm down im so tierd i just want my bed ALONE its like once a month now thats it

I would say about the same amount!

hmmm I'm not sure it has changed that much... We average at least every other day as it is... When dh's job first cut hours there was a small dry spell because he was too busy worrying about money.

Since my husband lost one of his jobs and now only works 42 hours a week- yes, we are getting it on lots more. He's got more time; we've got less money to do other things with, so why not :)
