I've decided to make Thursday officially "feel good about yourself day." Once a week we should all take a minute and list something we like about ourselves. It could be a favorite physical feature, a personality trait, skills, anything. Don't be shy! Think of it as a gratitude journal written for and by you.
According to "Real Girls, Real Pressure: A National Report on the State of Self-Esteem," commissioned by the Dove Self-Esteem Fund:
- Seven in 10 girls believe they are not good enough or do not measure up in some way, including their looks, performance in school and relationships with friends and family members
- 57% of all girls have a mother who criticizes her own looks
- 67% of girls ages 13 – 17 turn to their mother as a resource when feeling badly about themselves compared to 91% of girls ages 8 – 12
The more confident we are as women, the more confident we can make our children. Okay, I'll start. I'm grateful for my sense of humor. Without it, I'd take life too seriously.
Now, it's your turn. What do you love about yourself?

my feet
I can cook with almost anything that's in my cabinets/fridge/freezer. If we haven't been to the store and it seems like our copboards are bare, I can still come up with something tasty
my eyes, my smile, and my strength!
Today I feel good that I have great auburn hair and eyes to match!
Thanks, this could be good therapy for those of us who don't always feel good about ourselves!
The only thing right now I can think of are my eyes. they will change color to be more or less intense with what I wear or if I am not feeling good.
The emotional and physical strength I have gained from being a single mother and carrying my growing baby around everywhere!

I use to be slightly overweight...until I lost about 20 pounds. Now I can see my collar bone and I think that is my sexiest (and favorite) feature. LOL. I always get complimented on my eyes though...eyes are boring, a sexy collarbone is thrilling! lol.
