Organic yogurt maker Stonyfield Farm issued its first-ever recall on March 28th. Stonyfield Organic Fat Free Blueberry Yogurt was pulled from shelves due to customer complaints of tiny beads the size of mustard seeds in the yogurt.
The problem was traced to a specific batch of blueberry fruit produced by its fruit supplier, which has been working with the FDA to review their operations. They traced the problem back to an isolated incident involving a moisture absorbent commonly found in food packaging, which poses no threat to humans.
