Many of us are stuck at home today wondering what to do with these gorgeous, loud, bored kids. Of course, not everyone is snowed in, but maybe you can still use the idea below.
In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, we will get my old books out and read together. He was born on this day in 1904.
We can bond over Green Eggs & Ham. Not only will we read, we can also make and eat delicious green eggs and ham with this recipe. It's a good thing I shoveled a lot of snow today--there are 220 calories in a 1 cup serving of ham.
Why do these books always get to me? They're like Hallmark commercials, and I get hormonal and weepy because Dr. Seuss made me so happy as a child.
But this is just an emotional reaction. I had fun reading these books with my own mommy when I was little. So I get all nostalgic thinking about it. I start pondering the meaning of life and death over lines like,
"You do not like
green eggs and ham?
I do not
like them,
Sam-I-am."
I'm silly. I know it. But I hope my children think of me when they read Dr. Seuss with their own kids one day.

I'm not stuck 1 bit, and my kids r not loud at all. I am the loudest one here. If the machines didn't have a volume control, I'd be locked up, LOL.
