For those of you who saw Oprah last Tuesday, shhh.
Which bacon is healthier? As far as bacon goes, anyway. Bacon isn't exactly broccoli.
Oscar Mayer Bacon or
Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon
The answer is regular bacon. "Why turn a turkey into a pig?" asked David Zinczenko, author of Eat This, Not That on Oprah last week. Both kinds of bacon are 70 calories and 6 grams of fat per serving. But you get 25 percent more sodium with the turkey bacon--a whopping 360 milligrams of salt.
I love bacon. Now I don't feel too badly about eating the real thing every once and awhile. Other pork-loving CafeMoms answered a similar question just for fun, Bacon or Sausage? (Bacon! More bacon!)
