Forget yoga and barre classes! A growing number of celebrity models, actresses, and musicians are turning to boxing to work up a sweat, whittle their waists, sculpt their bodies, and build strength and endurance. Not only is boxing a phenomenal cardio workout,  it's exhilarating and unpredictable by nature, so there's no risk of monotony inside the ring. Even better, most of these female stars say the sport has helped them tap their inner strength, boosting their overall confidence and determination.

From Gina Rodriguez and Gigi Hadid to Adriana Lima and Khloe Kardashian, these stars are not just knockouts in the figurative sense — they can literally knock you out, too!

Shay Mitchell

Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell channels Adonis Creed during her intense slug fests with trainer Michael Olajide Jr. The boxing fanatic owns a pair of pink gloves and a customized gold pair bearing her nickname, "Shay Buttah." Mitchell's nickname is fitting: Whether seamlessly powering through punch combinations or shuffling her legs back and forth at lightning speed, she's as smooth as "buttah" inside the ring.

Paula Patton

In order to play Garona in the fantasy action film Warcraft,Paula Patton trained to build muscle mass, sculpt her physique, and develop the swordfighting, knife-wielding, horse-riding, and boxing skills of a true warrior. In the process, Patton discovered boxing's therapeutic benefits. "When we do boxing, I'm always told, 'Don’t hit so hard, Paula!' But I'm like, 'I'm getting out so much anger, I'm working it all out here!'" Patton said while on the set of the film. She's been unleashing her frustrations via her punching bag — and staying fit in the process — ever since.

Just look at her concentration as she throws jabs and crosses, and lands punch after punch in this Insta video. The champ is here!
