As much as we pride ourselves on "keeping it real," we don't. Our lives are filtered, sharing the best highlights for all to like online while throwing out the images we don't think will receive the same amount of love. There's an unattainable standard of beauty pressed on our shoulders to achieve, and this celeb is done bearing the weight. Demi Lovato's unedited bikini photo comes with a powerful message that's resonating with so many.

The 27-year-old shared an unedited photo of herself with an important message about loving your body.

Demi Lovato is one of our favorite celebrities because of her honesty and full transparency. Whether reminding us that fitness isn't just about losing weight, or going toe-to-toe with publications that publish fat-shaming articles, she's all about self-love and acceptance.

... and it's infectious.

"I'm just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body," she wrote.

"This is what I got. I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else's standards," the singer continued. "So here's me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day."

Demi went on to declare that she feels good not worrying about her weight, stressing over time in the gym for a role, and doesn't care how anyone feels. While she admittedly struggles to accept herself at times, Demi hopes she can inspire others to love their bodies.

"I'm not stoked on my appearance BUT I am appreciative of it and sometimes that's the best I can do," Demi admitted. "I hope to inspire someone to appreciate their body today too."

Needless to say, Demi's words continue to resonate with so many.-placeholder

Needless to say, Demi's words continue to resonate with so many.

Her post has received millions of likes and hundreds of thousands of comments. As silly as it might be to some for others to gush about a photo with cellulite ("cellulit" that is), it's an important image people need to see -- especially young girls. Too many are altering their image and agency for the sake of fitting in and feeling validated by society. It's a never-ending cycle that consumes the strongest of minds.

And it needs to stop.

It's OK to love yourself.

Demi's photo is a reminder that it's OK to go against the grain and embrace your natural self. These days, are lives are consumed by filters and editing that have us questioning blemishes and things we deem unworthy of love.

Someone today needs to be reminded that you -- and your body -- are enough and beautiful the way it was made.

Thanks, Demi, for the reminder.
