'RHOBH' Star Yolanda Foster's Leaky Breast Implant May Have Been a Blessing in Disguise

Yolanda Foster leaking implant As if this woman hasn't already been through enough! Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster underwent surgery to remove a leaking breast implant. Normally, this would seem like a horrific discovery, but in this case, the former model is actually ecstatic.

Yolanda, who has been battling Lyme disease since 2012, is hoping that the leaking silicone implant, which she had removed on August 7, may be responsible for making her condition worse. The 51-year-old shared this picture with fans:

While those might look like tattoos on Yolanda's left shoulder, she's actually showing us the ultrasound mapping that led her doctor to discover that the 20-year-old implant had ruptured. How frightening! But what's even worse is to think about that silicone moving freely through her system.

Fingers crossed she's right and removing her implants helps ease the symptoms of the disease she's traveled the world to raise awareness of. In her Bravo blog, the wife of composer David Foster shared just how significantly Lyme disease has impacted her life:

I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can't process information or any stimulation for that matter.

That must be terrifying for the mom of three. We have to think she'll incorporate raising awareness about the dangers of older implants into her mission now. With hope, this brings the reality star some much-needed progress in her fight against the condition that's already taken up too much of her time and strength.
