Single working moms and married moms spend almost the same amount of time with their kids.
To all the single ladies who are working so hard at work and at home, you know you do a great job juggling many responsibilities. The study in this month's Journal of Marriage and Family is just more proof.
Even researchers were surprised that these women managed to pull it off so well, often working long hours with little help, yet devoting almost as much time to their children as married women do.
The lead researchers from the University of Maryland say single moms know how precious time with their kids is, and they make their kids a huge focus of their energy--just like all moms do.

YES I know some super-women moms who do it all, and I have so much respect and admiration for them. They deserve it. :-)
I am a single mama of a 13 mo old. Her papi started watching her when I went to work at the 12 mo point. When I am home, I spend as much time as I can with her. I may be washing dishes and sweeping and mopping and doing laundry, but she is in the same room and interacting with me. I get about 6 hours of interrupted (she wakes about 3 times at night) sleep. I would not give it up for the world :~)
