Alyssa Milano Fat-Shamed for Her 'Gut' by Obnoxious Comedian

Say What!? 8

A comedian is in hot water after "fat shaming" actress Alyssa Milano, whom he met at a NASCAR racing event. Comedian Jay Mohr reportedly said about the 41-year-old mother of one:

She was one of the presenters. ... She’s very tiny. In height. It seems like she had a baby and said, 'I don’t really give a shit' ... I read it on her gut.

Wow. Really? Alyssa (whom Jay called "Melissa what's-her-name") wore an off-the-shoulder red dress to the event and she looked great. Also, it would be pretty hard to "read her gut" as it was draped with material. What the hell was he seeing? And why be so nasty?

Alyssa had a baby two years ago, and while I personally think she looks amazing, maybe she just didn't feel like spending 20 hours in the gym every day to get her six-pack back -- if she ever even had one.

That said, Alyssa handled this jibe with perfect grace, responding to Jay via Twitter:

Jay and his wife, Nikki Cox, have a 2-year-old daughter, Meredith. I wonder how Jay would feel if someone someday called his daughter fat? Does he really want her dating a guy like him?

Ironically, Jay was bleating about how "incredibly mean and snarky" our culture has become. I guess that only applies if someone is being mean and snarky to him!

It's unfortunately this kind of thing that leads to women starving themselves. I really can't believe that Jay has anything to say about Alyssa's "gut." It's just tragic. What a catty jerk.

Alyssa, girlfriend, you look awesome. You look healthy. And why do I even feel weird typing the word "healthy" like it's some euphemism for fat?

Anyway, it's not any woman's duty to starve herself so that someone she hardly knows, and most likely never wants to know, thinks she's sufficiently skinny.

Have you ever been fat shamed?

He's being ridiculous, she looks great to me. I've never really had to deal with fat shaming myself, but I notice certain looks I get when I weigh more than what I feel best at. People put way too much worth in how someone looks. It's how healthy someone is that matters, and even then I don't think it's anyone else's place to say something unless they know the full situation. For all you know they could be going through a hard time or suffer from health problems. And is it really so bad if they choose to put other things before their health? They should be able to live their life how they want.

She kept it classy. I on the other hand probably would have made a comment about how much plastic surgery Nikki has had.

That Jay Mohr said anything about how she looks astounds me. His wife, Nikki Cox, used to be crazy-hot and then got some giant wax lips grafted onto her face and had some other dubious procedures that rendered her unrecognizable. And when people point that out, Jay tends to go banana-pants over it, calling them horrible names and acting like a three-year-old denied candy. He's terribly unfunny and annoying. So he really needs to not worry about Alyssa Milano's body.

It's been over 2 years, and clearly she doesn't "give a shit" about being pre-pregnancy Alyssa.   Fantastic.

Sadly, this truth is found to be offensive because you think she SHOULD give a shit

look inside, indignants

Fat is fat.  Why is it so politically incorrect to mention someone is fat when they are fat???

I don't know, is she fat, or otherwise not perfect by whatever standards she is supposedly judged by? I'm missing it apparently.
