Khloe Kardashian looks amazing these days. She's rocking a hot, fit body, and thankfully, she's been truly forthcoming about how she's achieved her goals: A helluva lot of HARD work. Sure, she seems to be having a blast with her varied workouts, which back in April she described as a pinch of Pilates, a splash of cardio, a heaping of circuit training, some serious boxing, etc. But the truth is that she's busting her butt, people. I've gotta say, I am loving her candor!
And when I say candor, we are talking total transparency. The woman has been posting Instagram shots of her cardio machine's "calories burned" total on the regular. And ZOMG, one recent snap revealed that she burned 724 calories in one workout. Uh, whaaa??! Yeah, even Khlo herself seemed shocked by the digits.
Along with the pic, Khloe admitted:

I'll say. Then again, let's remember ... Lots of health professionals warn that the calorie burn total on that treadmill or elliptical you've been slaving away on for 30, 45, 60 minutes could be completely bogus. (Especially if you're not holding onto the heart rate sensor pads, which, let's be honest, is a total pain in the butt.) Even then, even if you enter your (accurate) weight before you start, the calorie count is just a rough estimate, because the machine can't take into account important factors other than weight, such as body fat percentage and fitness level.
All of that said, it still looks like Khloe is doing seriously kick-butt workouts to stay in shape, which is completely admirable. Let's just hope that it's also maintainable. It's awesome to push yourself -- and I'd bet we could all stand to push ourselves a little harder every so often -- but exercise should never be so intense that have to throw in the towel, because you're all burned out.
