Sure, we all heard of Shakira before she joined The Voice as a judge. Heck, I loved her "Hips Don't Lie" back in the day and couldn't understand HOW she got her hips to do all that swiveling. But these days as a judge on the hit show, the Latina is making some serious waves and her name is absolutely everywhere. Personally, I can't get enough of her bubbly personality and, shoot, for a 36-year-old mother of one, the lady looks amazeballs. Seriously, how she lost all that baby weight for her gig on The Voice within five months of giving birth to her beautiful boy is BEYOND me!

Shakira's trainer Anna Kaiser recently caught up with E! Online and confessed that the singer's go-to workout is dancing. Dancing involves three key things: Cardio, flexibility, and strength training. "Dance is not only fun, but it can be an incredibly difficult and effective option for cardio," said Kaiser. "When combined with an effective strength and flexibility program, you get a fantastic well-rounded program with amazing results."
Well YES, the proof is in the pudding! And to be real, it sounds like any workout that involves all three of those key components is going to be a lot more fun, too. As a runner, I long to get into something that's more multidimensional. Shakira is smart to opt for a workout plan that is active but enjoyable.
In order to tone up and stick to a routine, you can't just do the same thing all of the time. Dancing involves all different sorts of movements, and those three key components will build muscle tone while effectively burning fat and boosting your metabolism. Now, who's in for a class, eh?
