'DWTS' Star Brooke Burke Reveals 4 Diet Tricks That Help Her Stay in Shape

I'm always especially interested in what top celebrities and their trainers have to say about how to turn flab to fab. Heck, they're the ones in front of the camera all the time looking great, they MUST know a thing or two right?

Well Brooke Burke, who looks absolutely phenomenal at age 41, recently shared her healthy diet tips with Health. If these simple tips will help me get that physique, I am so in!

1. Have a big lunch: Brooke likes to keep her largest meal in the middle of the day giving her body more time to process everything. Her go-to choice? A large salad with lots of veggies, a nice piece of salmon or fish, and avocado. Good choice on her part, since avocados are packed with loads of healthy fats.

2. Add flavor without fat: Instead of soaking her foods in heavy sauces and loads of oil, Brooke oprts for rubs and salts instead. One of her favorite rubs? Harissa, a Middle Eastern spice that kind of resembles a chili paste.

3. Indulging is OK: I totally agree with you here, lady. Brooke suggests eating everything in moderation instead of avoiding foods entirely. Instead of skipping out on her mother's homemade Bolognese and meatballs, she eats it smart -- choosing more meat and less pasta. For me, I'm a soft serve yogurt fiend. Instead of loading up on too much yogurt, I get a medium cup, a small serving of yogurt, and top it with LOADS of fruit. YUM!

4. Keep healthy snacks around: Having a stash of healthier snacks like popcorn, nuts, and fresh fruit will help you avoid binging on random items on the go. Brooke keeps a "smart snack pack" in her SUV!
