Gwyneth Paltrow is pretty much the queen of dieting. Ms. Goop knows everything there is to know about juice cleansing, working out, and how to do it in the cutest workout clothes that ever existed. Which is why I can hardly believe my eyes after reading Paltrow's plans for 2013. The actress writes, "I am not on a detox. I am not on a diet. I know, New Year's cleaning and all that. Not this year. Can't do it. Maybe later in the year. Maybe in the spring."
Like, WHAT?! It all just seems so ... unnatural. Here's the thing, though. Even though Gwyneth swears she's not going to be on a diet, I don't believe her. Heck, I'm gonna go right ahead and call her bluff. It is impossible for Gwyneth Paltrow NOT to diet, and here's why:
Throughout the last few years especially, Gwynny has dedicated such a huge portion of her life to living a healthy life. She's learned what certain fruits and vegetables do for the body, how much goes into one serving of pasta or grains, the right ways to relieve stress through yoga ... heck, she knows it all. Having that sort of knowledge, even if she says she's "not on a diet," it's just ... not possible.
I just truly don't believe after learning all there is to know about the right ways to live a healthy life that anyone can completely throw those skills out the window. You start to automatically pour yourself the right amount of cereal, eat vegetables every day, choose water more often than other high-sugar juice alternatives. Hey, I think that's a good thing Gwyn. Whether or not you're on a "diet" now, I firmly believe living healthy will forever be a habit for you. Truth be told, it's how we should all live.
