If I don't have good music on my iPod, I don't have a good workout. Plain and simple. (Or, perhaps, more accurately, I don't work out at all.) But if I've downloaded a whole mess of new songs (or rediscovered old ones), I can run-walk on the treadmill for days! Pump iron until my arms feel like they're going to fall off! Do other stuff for a really long time! The intensity of my exercise is in direct correlation with what I can blast in my ears while doing so. (And don't even get me started on getting to the gym and realizing my iPod has no battery -- worst.)
Anyway, since the holidays are coming up -- along with New Year's resolutions -- I thought it would be a good time to get some new workout music. I polled the lovely ladies of The Stir, and naturally, they delivered. Here are 30 awesome workout songs that will make holiday weight gain impossible. (Thanks for the newly stocked iPod, girls!)
