woman texting iphoneHave you ever sent a text to a friend or family member, and AutoCorrect completely screws up what you're trying to say? Of course it has. It's happened to all of us, and hence why DamnYouAutocorrect.com is a laugh riot. Because we've all been there, tweaking out when we realize our phones have utterly FAILED to communicate on our behalf.

One of the worst case scenarios is when AutoCorrect twists texts about our most serious -- or not so serious, but still -- health concerns. Allow me to illustrate my point ...

promiscuity damn you autocorrect

Haaa ... See, even when you're sharing happy news about your wellness, it pays to wait until you're face-to-face with whoever it is you're trying to fill in, eh? Too funny.

Or take this one ...

anal infection

Hee hee. "Whoops" is right! Ouch, too! And where does a computer get "anus" from "sinus"?!

These texts and others like them make you wonder if our iPhones are out to get us. I feel like there's some 2001: A Space Odyssey HAL stuff going on sometimes! At the very least, these texting disasters make it clear that texting isn't necessarily the most reliable way to share sensitive health information. Obviously, having these convos in person is much wiser and safer ... albeit not nearly as hilarious!
