Jessica Simpson's Secret Smoothie Diet Will Slim Down Any Mom (With a Private Chef)

jessica simpsonNow that Jessica Simpson is "finally" losing the baby weight (just for the record, people, baby daughter Maxwell Drew is only 6 months old, so, really?), everybody wants to know HOW the Weight Watchers rep managed to drop a reported 60 pounds in just 4 months. Um, one would assume by following Weight Watchers, right? Well, yes. But NOT by following just any old Weight Watchers program: Simpson "finally" got slim by sticking to a brand new super secret smoothie crash diet created for Weight Watchers by Simpson's former personal chef.

Except since TMZ leaked the diet's details earlier today, it ain't so super secret anymore. Woo-hoo! Now every new mom can follow the same exact plan, right? Like Jessica Simpson! Skinny is just a smoothie away!

Yeah, probably not.

Sure, the 4-month plan sounds do-able -- even the 15-day smoothie diet kickstart seems like something the average mom might be able to pull off: 5 days of 3 smoothies a day (with 2 healthy snacks); 5 days of 2 smoothies a day (2 healthy snacks, 1 meal); and 5 days of 1 smoothie a day (with 2 snacks and 2 meals).

But when you take a closer look, this "simple" regime gets way more complex. The smoothies on this menu aren't the "mix one scoop of powder with 8 ounces of water" type; nor are the healthy snacks and meals of the "heat and serve" variety. There are as many ingredients in these smoothies as there are in any fully-stocked entree: 2 cups of packed spinach leaves; raw almonds, lime juice, greek yogurt, etc. Sounds great -- don't get me wrong -- but we're talking about a lot more shopping/prep time than the average new mom has for smoothie-making. And the meals:"Egg white omelets, chicken satays, whipped chick peas, soba noodles, and shrimp skewers," again, don't exactly fit into the category of quick and easy. Or at least not the kind of quick and easy a new mom needs.

Hey, it would be amazing if any and every new mom had access to food like this (it would be amazing if any and every human had access to food like this). But how many of us actually do?

Do you think Jessica Simpson's secret smoothie diet is do-able for most moms?
