Bristol Palin’s ‘DWTS’ Weight Loss Secret Sounds Strangely Familiar to Moms

TV Addict 11

Bristol Palin on 'Dancing With the Stars'Is it just me, or is Bristol Palin looking really good these days? It's not just that spray tan either, Palin's clearly slimmed down figure is cha-cha-ing all over the Dancing With the Stars stage. Look at those gams, for crying out loud! Bristol recently spoke with Us about what helped her shed the pounds, and let me tell you, while I understand losing weight is different for everyone, I'm not sure if I could do the same things she did.

Read about Bristol's two biggest contributors to her weight loss, here:

Factor No. 1: running around after her son Tripp, and No. 2: cutting the "crap" out of her diet.

OK, the scrambling after your kiddo thing is something I think a lot of us can relate to. Heck, I may not have my own kid just yet -- but I've babysat enough little ones to know that an hour with them is a serious workout. Heck, 10 minutes leaves me winded sometimes!

For me, though, I can't just completely get rid of things from my diet. I'm all about making a diet more of a lifestyle, and if I get rid of chocolate, for example, it just makes me want it more. Plus, it makes me 8,000 times more likely to binge on it and regret it the next day. It's all about small quantities. Of course, if I was like Bristol and knew I was going to be dancing live on national television in front of millions of people, well then -- perhaps that would be a different story.

What do you think about Bristol's slimdown? Do you cut things out of your diet completely when you're trying to shed pounds?

she looks amazing!

Debbie Sparks

She's a no talent who is only there because of her mother (who is a no talent herself).  Can't wait for her to be voted off so we don't have to watch her anymore.  Mark should have been paired with Sabrina!

She looks great, but isn't she only around 22? Everyone should look great at 22.

She looks good and I think she did very well. She's gotten less shy. It's too bad so many people are ignorant like Debbie. She's not her mother. She's her own self and it's really too bad people are so damn cruel. Isn't it time to grow up now?

mompam:Not everyone looks great at 22, or 12 or 42. She works to look the way she does and she is doing a great job. She is changing her lifestyle and is better than surgery or trying every diet and/or diet pill on the planet.

SickO... SickOfMorons

You forgot to mention the plastic surgery.

JAFE, would she be on that show w/o her famous mom? No. If she wants to ride the coattails, she has to accept the criticism.

Stink... Stinkydog

Guest, you should probably check your facts when you say "she's better than surgery." She has gone on record to say she has had plastic surgery. (That said, not for weight).  I don't really care about her (or her mom's)  politics, I'm just less impressed whenever anyone who is a) young and b) not fat to begin with gets raves for getting skinny.  When I was 21, I could lose 10lbs in 2 days, as could most everyone else I know.  Good for her for doing what she wants to do with her body--let's just not make it out to seem like it's a huge accomplishment because it isn't.

You're a moron once again moron.

Laura Jerpseth

She named her son Tripp?

Ugh... I don't want to live on this planet anymore. That name is so ridiculous.
