It's hard to believe that it wasn't even a year ago that Miley Cyrus was defending herself against critics who called her fat. It's hard to believe because A) she was never fat, not even a little bit overweight; and B) um, look at the picture she recently tweeted of herself wearing what may or may not be fiance Liam Hemsworth's jeans. She couldn't be anything further from fat. She's, like, itty-bitty, teeny-tiny.
Okay, so on November 11 of last year, Miley took to Twitter to address some rude seriously rude YouTube videos that were posted about her online. The Hannah Montana star posted a photo of an emaciated woman to her massive Twitter following, along with the message: "By calling girls like me fat, this is what you’re doing to other people." She then added a picture of bombshell extraordinaire Marilyn Monroe, with the caption: "Proof that you can be adored by thousands of men even when your thighs touch."
I don't think Miley's thighs touch.
Alright, here's the thing. Miley has been in the news/tabloids/whatever a lot recently in regards to her body. She's been photographed all over town, entering Pilates studios, leaving Pilates studios, wearing interesting things to Pilates studios. And she's mentioned on numerous occasions that she no longer eats gluten. That's great! Working out is awesome, and everyone should pay attention to what they eat. (Side bar, if you have the will power to cut out gluten -- impressive.) But. I hope that Miley's recent weight-loss and food choices are based on something she wanted to do, as opposed to what a few critics had to say about her.
I'm all for keeping it healthy. I'm a big believer in working out and eating "real" food as opposed to crap that comes in a package, etc. (though I don't always heed my own advice). However, I think that men and women should get in shape, lose weight, gain weight, whatever for themselves, not for other people. I really believe that if you're okay with your body, other people will be, too. I mean, what's more healthy -- or sexy -- than confidence?
Have you ever changed your body for somebody else?

When I lost 90lbs, I posted pictures for the critics in my life. I captioned it "I may be fat, but I can lose weight. You'll be an ugly person for the rest of your life"
Even if its FOR the critics, it might still be a healthy outlook.
She said that has both a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not like she looks unhealthy, she looks great! Nice abs, Miley!
