Blake Lively's Diet Confession Isn't Fooling Anyone

blake livelyBlake Lively might have one of the hottest bods in Hollywood these days, but apparently she doesn't work for it. When dishing about her "secret" to looking so slammin' and svelte, the actress recently laughed and told Us Weekly, "I eat cupcakes and I don't work out! But if you ask me in ten years, I'm going to regret answering that way now. ... I don't even drink water. It's terrible!"

Isn't that cuuuute? She's naturally blessed with a metabolism that lets her abuse her body! Wow! Doesn't that make you think she's so down to earth and just like us? OR ... does her "confession" make you want to claw her eyes out? I'm in the latter camp.

At least she has the good sense to admit that ten years down the road, she's going to be kicking herself. But she should be kicking herself now for doing such a disservice to other women (young ones especially) with this admission. It sends the completely unrealistic, out-to-lunch message that it's possible to eat junk and forgo exercise and somehow still look like Blake Lively. Suuure. Not to mention that she's passing her unhealthy behavior off as giggle-worthy. It's not -- it's ignorant.

This reminds me of a phenomenon The New York Times wrote about last year in which actresses like Blake make a huge show of their insatiable appetites, even going to great lengths to orchestrate "documented instances of public eating" (D.I.P.E.). They make a point to show and/or tell the public that they just LOOOVE to eat burgers, fries, cupcakes and laze around all day. And whoops -- somehow still manage to squeeze into a size 00. It's supposed to prove to the masses that they don't have an eating disorder and make them more relatable or something like that.

But ultimately, it's a bunch of BS. Love or hate them, at least celeb ladies like Gwyneth Paltrow and Victoria Beckham are real about the ridiculous detoxing, vegan, thrice-daily Pilates lengths they go to look a certain, teeny tiny way ... because it's their job to! Sounds like we can't say the same for Blake Lively.

Do you buy that Blake has such unhealthy habits?
