Khloe Kardashian's Krash Diet Is a Sign She's Under Too Much Pressure

by Jacqueline Burt on May 3, 2012 at 7:00 AM

khloe kardashian life & styleI've always loved Khloe Kardashian. How could you NOT? She's feisty and fiery and funny and remarkably down to earth. Khloe is The Thinking Girl's Kardashian, I've always felt.

That's why the news of her recent 20 pounds in 20 days weight loss in Life & Style magazine worries me. In as many ways as there are Kardashians.

First of all, what are the odds Khloe shed that many pounds at that rapid rate on a "healthy" diet? It's no secret at this point that those dangerously accelerated slim-down programs celebs use can cause all kinds of damage -- just ask Mila Kunis, Margaret Cho, Matt Damon, and Anne Hathaway (after she wraps Les Mis, that is).

Not to mention the fact that this type of rapid weight loss tends to set people on an endless cycle of yo-yo dieting -- the results are rarely long-term.

Then there's the emotional/mental well-being piece of the puzzle ...

More from The Stir: Kris Jenner Crosses the Line Yet Again & Calls Khloe Fat

Remember how I said I've always loved Khloe Kardashian? I wish Khloe loved Khloe Kardashian, too! I wish she would realize that she's an amazing person at any size and stop trying to change her shape -- but then, given how openly critical mom Kris Jenner has been about Khloe's weight and how she's always being compared to Kim and Kourtney (guess what, Khloe -- most American women look more like you than your sisters!!), the endless struggle to shrink doesn't surprise me.

Here's hoping Khloe finds all the health and happiness she deserves, whatever that looks like in a bikini.

Do you think Khloe Kardashian lost too much weight too quickly?

Wait a minute... her marriage is crumbling (cover)?
I don't think it's our place to criticize this woman. I don't care if she is a public figure. I hate how we're always finding things to criticize about female celebrities bodies and style. It makes me feel bad as a woman how media and bloggers grab on to anything they can to tear these public women down.

It's her life, her body, if she is as level headed as you think she is, then just leave her alone. How factual is this 20 days statement anyway?

I like Khloe no matter what she looks like! She has a great personality! I love watching her and Lamar reality show on E! Just beacuse you are on television doesn't mean you are stuck up and care about money! If god created us all the same, then the world would be boring!

This is a tabloid, and none of the other stories on the cover are true, so why would you believe this one? The picture is clearly photoshopped.

(guess what, Khloe -- most American women look more like you than your sisters!!),

Just because a lot of American women are overweight doesnt make it okay to be overweight.

Celebrity or not, I don't think it is safe to loose weight that way... maybe cutting down before a big party to look great in a dress, but you know it will come back . I rather go  2-3 pounds per week but make it permanent lose.

Also, not all American ladies are bigger, but I think official reports indicate size 12 as the average, not bad, you can  be a fit and lean size 12. Even so, we should all try to be at our heatlhiest weight, thru heatlhy eating and excercise.

How disgusting you all are. No wonder the girl has body issues. For that matter no wonder that most women have body issues. All you hear over and over is how this one is too fat or this one is too skinny or they were photoshopped. And this is about people that you don't even know. Is everyone this nasty and snarky to the people that you do know? Everyone wants to blame their mom for everything. I'm sure the thousands if not millions of people saying every nasty thing under the sun about them has NOTHING to do with it. Nope their mother is to blame. I hope that the world ends this year. We don't deserve to be alive on this planet.

I love Khloe, regardless of her size. This is a tabloid mag, people! I always question the source. If Khloe herself would be saying she lost 20 lbs in 20 days, I'd be concerned. Until then, go Khloe! Whatever size she is, she is a great human being and one that I admire.
