Giuliana Rancic's 'Hate Relationship' With Her Body Makes Perfect Sense (VIDEO)

Giulina Rancic's emotional moment on red carpet.
Ever since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2011, we've heard a lot from E! News host Giuliana Rancic. She's been extremely forthcoming about her battle with the disease. But her most recent confession, revealed in a clip from the new season of her Style Network show, Giuliana & Bill (which premieres tonight), is especially sad and honest.

Back before she went public with her diagnosis, she was wearing a gorgeous red, strapless Roberto Cavalli number to the September 2011 Emmys. And Giuls struggled with feeling like all eyes were on her, like her dress kept falling down, and as though everyone around her knew something was wrong.

Here's the powerful clip ...

This breaks my heart. I teared up a bit hearing her confess that she found herself hating her body -- and especially her breasts -- after her diagnosis, because she felt like it had let her down.

Even as someone who is a major advocate of always striving for a positive body image, I can relate to her anger and frustration with eating right, working out, taking pride in your body just not being enough. I understand what it's like to feel as though your efforts are for nothing. Of course, that's not the case. Healthy habits are never completely in vain, because surely, you're still better off than if you were to eat junk and sit on the couch all day! But to constantly striving to take care of yourself, then still find yourself faced with a disease or a chronic health issue ... It's beyond aggravating, and yeah, it's easy to find yourself hating your body for working against you.

But the only way I know how to deal with it -- and with hope Giuliana is dealing with it -- is by picking yourself up, continuing to do your best with various treatments or strategies, being as optimistic as humanly possible, and constantly making the effort to love yourself. Especially when it feels impossible.

Have you ever found yourself hating your body in the same way as Giuliana? What did you do to deal with it?
