my aunt battled breast cancer and won. But my grandfather died from it.
Breast cancer runs in my family. My grandma had it and faught it. A few of my aunts had lumps but they were caught just in time before they turned to cancer.
My uncle died of cancer in 2005. They caught it way too late. The saddest part is my uncle was a doctor, so we're pretty sure he was just in denial about the whole thing.
my dad is currently fighting Brain Cancer. Both my grandpas passed away from Cancer. I PRAY all the time for miracles and a CURE!
I've lost my grandfather to Lung Cancer, one aunt to breast cancer, one aunt to Kidney cancer, and several of my aunt's right now have battled with cancer several times. I myself have already had a scare.
I lost my father to lung cancer, his mother to ovarian cancer, his father to throat cancer, and my mother's father to cancer as well. I always donate to the American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Korman breast cancer awareness charity. I pray that in my lifetime Dr.'s will discover a cure for cancer so that no one else has to suffer through it!!!!!
My grandfather, great grandfather, and my FIL were all touched by cancer- my grandpa and great grandpa passed away. Their cancers (lung) progressed too far to treat (my grandfather had cancer in 70% of his body when they finally found his pain source, he died a few months later under the excellent care of Hispice). My FIL has had prostate, skin, and (i think) pancreatic cancer. He's in his 80s and still fighting.
