Demi MooreThe details keep rollin' out about what happened to Demi Moore earlier this week, and the situation continues to look bleaker. TMZ has now heard from sources who say that the actress had a seizure brought on by doing whip-its, or inhaling nitrous oxide. Reportedly, Demi was "shaking" and otherwise "acting like she was suffering from a seizure," so a friend who was with her made a call to 911.

Okay, now, I'm not saying I would have preferred to hear that she was actually doing a harder drug, like cocaine or even drinking alcohol. But it is still really bizarre to hear that Demi Moore, as in famous Hollywood actress, is getting high on something typically reserved for high school kids. What the heck??

I've never really known anyone to do whip-its, but it's such a bottom of the barrel high. People inhale nitrous oxide canisters (usually used to make whipped cream), and the high is intense ... but also really brief. That said, the whip-its were likely just the tip of the iceberg. If you're a rich and famous celeb, you don't become a mess by doing something as -- come on, let's be honest -- silly as inhaling nitrous oxide. You are probably already at a terrible low, and then you happen to decide you might like to inhale nitrous oxide.

Other buzz about the circumstances leading up to her breakdown points to anorexia and prescription drugs. Sources tell People.com that Moore's prescription drug problem was one of the things that drove her and Ashton Kutcher apart. Apparently, he wanted her to take better care of herself, and she wouldn't. Now, it's looking like she really doesn't have much of a choice, huh ... so sad.

Seems like Demi was just so far gone that this seizure was her rock bottom. It's disturbing, but at the same time, I really, actually hope it was the last straw for her. So that now the only way forward will be recovery.
