'Glee' Star Heather Morris Did Something Daring to Get Healthy

heather morrisHeather Morris has got to be on cloud nine right now. The Glee star is landing on best-dressed lists everywhere for her outstanding blue ruffled number at the Emmy Awards and is currently gracing newsstands across the country on the cover of the October issue of Fitness. In the magazine's interview with her, 24-year-old Morris gets pretty personal, talking about her recent decision to get rid of her breast implants:

"Implants were something I thought I wanted when I was young, and now I don’t," she says. "My chest was always sore. It hurt a lot, and I didn’t like always being in pain -- so they had to go!"

Wow. When was the last time you heard a celebrity saying she (or he) didn't want plastic surgery? You GO, girl!

If I didn't have enough of a girl crush on Morris after watching her slammin' moves in the Britney Spears episode of Glee last season, I do now. Honestly, there's so much pressure on stars to have the perfect body as it is. The fact that Morris wasn't too proud to admit that her enhanced ta-tas didn't go with the life she leads is not only admirable, but very mature for anyone in Hollywood, let alone an actress in her mid-20s.

I used to have big kahunas too. I understand how they can be a hassle. Lucky for me, after dropping a whole slew of weight over the last four years, they shrank down just a tad. I remember being burdened by my bust when doing pretty much any kind of physical activity, and at one point or another, I contemplated a breast reduction.

And in Morris' case, whether she was playing the part of a Cheerio on the Glee set or working as a backup dancer for Beyonce, her busy lifestyle was more important to her than her chest investment. If you think about it, it'll probably rake in more jobs for her in the long run too. Less bosom = more freedom to shake what your momma gave ya.

I would hope any woman would make the same kind of judgment call that Heather did. Seriously, every day there's a new study that comes out about the laundry list of benefits we reap by exercising regularly. I'd totally choose having a toned physique over a large rack any day!

Have you ever toyed with the idea of a breast reduction?
