I thought it was a joke when I read that Luc Carl, aka Lady Gaga's boyfriend, was writing a diet book. I mean she has been hospitalized for her poor diet in the past, so if he can't help her, who can he help?
But it's not a joke, he's actually writing a book ... though the content of the book may be laughable.
Set for publication in 2011, it's titled The Drunk Diet; How I Lost 40 Pounds ... Drunk.
The self-help-yourself-to-all-the-booze book is described on his website as "a year in the life of author Luc Carl. His memoirs of a year in which he went from being an out of shape, bloated asshole, to the sexiest, most delightful man on the planet."
Humble and healthy, wow.
His blog is a mishmash or seemingly real-ish fitness advice, from the number of reps to do while lifting weights to recommendations on which vodka to order to avoid a hangover to a strange analogy between how you should make love and the type of pasta sauce you should select.
Basically, it reads like one big drunk rambling ... the book will likely be more of the same. It may sound funny or like a good idea if you're drunk, but not so much to the sober masses.
Between now and the release date, Carl better make sure his on-again-off-again relationship with Lady Gaga doesn't turn into a really bad romance. Because without her name attached, he's just going to be another drunk idiot rambling.
But together ... well, they can be a powerful force in glamorizing the alcoholic lifestyle.
Would you by Luc Carl's diet book?
