It's time to stop complaining about your sister and send her a present.
The bigger, the better.
That's because yet another study has come out proving what we female siblings have always known.
Having a sister is good for your health.
1. She keeps you from getting depressed. According to a new study in the Journal of Family Psychology, sisters prevent teens "from feeling lonely, unloved, guilty, self-conscious, and fearful."
2. She motivates you. Psychologists at De Montfort University and the University of Ulster found sisters encourage "emotional expression" and basically help you work through all your baggage.
3. She socialized you. Siblings of both genders are "agents of socialization," say researchers. In other words -- they keep you from being the jerk who won't share when you walk into kindergarten.
4. She's yours. And you're stuck with her, so make the most of it
Now please excuse me, I have to go call my brother. He owes me big time.
Do you have a sister?

Sorry but that is a dream sister. My real sister is sooooo far from this.
hahahahaha - they obvioulsy did not "study" my house!!!!!!!
I do have a sister and she's one of my best friends... now, that is. We're close enough in age (18 months) that we were essentially peers and that created many the rival situation.
i have two sisters, an older one and a younger one and they are not "healthy" for me. this study is a crock of BS
Ditto "MomIWant" I love my sister dearly but she is not a very good person. We've not been on the best of terms since a fued last summer... However I wonder if I gave her a gift if things could change? Knowing her she'd think I expected a gift in return. So sad.
Hahahah. I have a younger sister and I agree that their 'study' is bull. My sister is a narcissistic, self-centered twat with a superiorty complex. *shrug*
