Weight Loss Calendar Week 6 -- Do You Work Out Morning, Noon, or Night?

The scale (unfortunately) read 157 this morning (one pound up from last week), and I have two explanations for this: Taxes and croup. How could those two things possibly be related, you might ask, and my answer to you would be: They both sent me straight into the arms of a greasy German dinner on Friday night (accompanied by a very large mug of German beer). The scale hasn't quite forgiven me since.


I'm back on my routine, and I'm sure next week will be better. I have to take the good with the bad and try to remember to focus on the end goal, not on the missteps.

But, anyway, I'm here today to poll The Stir's readers about when they prefer to work out. See, my husband starts a new work shift this week, and it means he'll get home after our gym closes for the night. So, my choices are: 1) not working out at our gym (the gym I really, really love) or 2) waking up (painfully early) and working out before I go to work.

Now, I plan to work out at home some, I always have, but those few days a week in the gym have been great for me. It's my time to de-stress and focus on myself for an hour. So, I'd really love to get in the gym, but I know me. Waking up that early isn't just tough, it's excruciating.

I hope to make a habit of early-morning workouts and take them from excruciating to at least bearable. (Cross your fingers for me.)
