Taylor Ryan, head trainer for The Art of Weight Lifting and the Charleston, South Carolina-based Fat Blasting Boot Camps for Moms is The Stir's personal trainer, here each week to help us get in shape.
This week, Taylor created an at-home quick workout circuit to help with full-body toning. These five exercises will help burn calories and sculpt a lean, tight body for summertime skimpiness.
Aim to do each exercise for 10-12 reps and do the moves back to back with little or no rest. Once the circuit is complete, rest 60 seconds and then repeat. Depending on time and how you feel do, 3-5 complete rounds.
Nutrition Tip of the Week:
There are so many healthy and delicious foods available that few people ever try. For example, I love to put edamame in my omelets. It adds great flavor and an extra dose of protein. Another great combination is peanut butter deviled eggs. This is what I eat many mornings when I am in a rush. I grab a boiled egg, cut it in half and remove the yolk. Then I put a dollop of all natural peanut butter in the empty hole. Get crazy in the kitchen!
As always, these are just general recommendations. Always check with your doctor before starting any exercise program.
