No, you don't have to send out the Evite for 8:00 a.m., or go to the pony rides at the crack of dawn. There are much easier ways to celebrate a kid birthday party in the early morning hours.
Anything better than breakfast in bed? If you ask me, then yes, yes there is. Breakfast in bed is messy. And hard to eat. Why are we so uncouth? Why are we not eating the most important meal of the day in the most important place in our house more often?
No matter how hard we try to sit down and enjoy a breakfast with our entire family, some days we just have to eat on the run. Think early school assembly, PTA meeting, basically any old Tuesday. So it's necessary to have a few breakfast bites in your repertoire. Food you can hold in your hand, and eat while moving forward.
Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but that doesn't mean you always have to make it a huge production. In fact, lots of people (*raises hand!*) can't always stomach a lot of heavy foods like oatmeal or eggs so early in the morning.
Ah breakfast, the most important meal of the day. When it comes to toddlers, however, it can also become one of the most frustrating meals of the day. You want them to start the day off right, but sometimes, nothing just seems right enough for them to eat.
