Police Officer Breastfeeds Abandoned Baby Like It's NBD (VIDEO)

It's like something out of a Beyonce song. A Colombian cop -- who just also happens to be a new mother -- stumbled upon an abandoned newborn starving and on the verge of hypothermia. So she did what came naturally -- she breastfed the dying baby and saved her life.

Who runs the world?! Officer Luisa Fernanda Urrea and her breasts -- that's who!

“I’m a new mother and I have milk, and I recognized the needs that this poor little creature had,” Urrea told the local news about the incident. “I think any woman would have given her nourishment in the same circumstances.”

Here's incredible video of Urrea feeding and soothing the newborn baby girl.

The baby was abandoned shortly after birth in a forest with her umbilical cord still attached. Authorities are looking for the mother, who could face criminal charges.

Urrea's incredible story reminded me of all the new mothers out there who get up for work every day and kiss their own babies good-bye. These women hustle off to their jobs -- as bankers, nurses, and cops -- but that doesn't mean they ever stop being mothers. And they're better at their jobs for it, too.

We've all worked with those new mothers -- battle-hardened yet eerily serene. They've got no time for petty drama or anything but getting the job done, because after all, this is just their first shift. The one they go home to at night -- that's their main gig. None of it is easy. But a mama handles her business -- and just about everyone else's, too.

So the next time you encounter a new mom on the job, remember she's a lady who can get stuff done. And when the going gets tough -- you can't find a more clutch member of the team than a mother. And if there happens to be a baby desperately hungry, she's got that covered too.

And all they ask for in return is a clean spot to pump. Is that really so much to ask?

#Respect to Officer Urrea and all the new moms who head out to work every day and make the world a better place.
