Girl Scout Cookies Go Digital -- Check 'Em Out Online in 2016

It's about time! Girl Scout cookies will finally be available to purchase online in 2016, and we can already feel our waistlines expanding. Mmmm, thin mints -- delivered right to your door!

Scouts all over the United States have the option of using a platform called Digital Cookie 2.0, and it will allow supporters cookie eaters to order their Samoas from the comfort of their own home, using a credit card.

You'll still have to know an actual Girl Scout to use the site, so don't be worried that these girls won't get their prizes for selling a certain amount of boxes of cookies. You'll get a log-in code from your Scout, which will link you to her personal account.

Best part? Instead of your traditional order taking weeks to fulfill, these cookies will be delivered in three to five business days.

Online ordering debuted in 2015, but even more chapters are expected to participate this year. I bet parents are celebrating especially, since let's face it -- they're the ones doing a lot of the work for those door-to-door sales.

This seems safer and more convenient for everyone, and even if your local chapter doesn't offer online ordering, I'm sure you'll still be able to buy cookies from those cute little girls selling them from card tables outside of the grocery store.

Rejoice for cookies!
