You may have seen this video that's gone viral over the past couple of days, but it's worth a watch again. You'll be prepared to be horrified and concerned after watching magician Rob Anderson rip up a sign a homeless US Army veteran was holding. But of course, there's much more to it than that initial disgusting display.

Unbelievably, Alan McCraken, the veteran, remained calm and respectful while all this was happening. "Can I keep the magic marker to make another sign?" he heartbreakingly asks Rob.

But you won't believe what happens next. Okay, okay, it may be a bit predictable, but it's super-cool nonetheless.

Enjoy what almost four million people have watched and warm those bitter, cynical cockles in your heart today:

Okay, fine, the veteran was way too smart and knew what was going on before the big reveal, but it's still amazing to watch. And Anderson set up a GoFundMe page to raise even more money for McCracken. As of the time this story was published, over $26,000 has been raised. Wow! Kudos and hat-tips to all you kind people out there.

"After speaking with Alan, he told me 'I’m not out here to fill my pockets ... I’m out here to fill my soul. The Lord will provide what I need.' Alan does not do any drugs, and is proud to tell you about overcoming alcoholism much earlier in life," Anderson wrote on the GoFundMe page. "He would love to find a job, but as he explained to me, it’s difficult to find a job when you don’t have a home to clean yourself up in, or a decent change of clothes to wear. If there’s anyone who would be deserving of assistance to get back on their feet, it is Alan McCracken."

So well deserved, and let's hope this money can help McCracken find a well deserved job. He seems like such a nice, awesome dude who clearly handles stress very well!

Anderson also kept everyone who cared about McCracken informed with this incredible update: "Alan has been able to get assistance in temporarily getting off the streets through the VA here in Las Vegas. He is currently sleeping on a bunk bed in a room with 3 other veterans, and has his meals and other basic necessities provided by the VA. When I spoke with him, he had his usual positive attitude about his situation, and is optimistic about his search for a job now that he has temporary housing provided for him."

Such great news! Hopefully McCracken will be off the streets for good. Let's hope the generosity continues to pour in for this man who served our country. And that more "pranks" like this continue to go viral!
