Of all the holidays we celebrate each year, St. Patrick's Day may be one of my favorites. I'm not Irish, but does that really matter? Everyone is Irish on March 17th! And everyone gets to have a good time! It's the one big holiday when no one has to go shopping for presents or do any hardcore baking, and everyone can still enjoy a joyful, hearty celebration.

There are so many ways to enjoy St. Patrick's Day. Lots of us wear a little (or a lot of) green to celebrate. Many folks throw some corned beef and cabbage in the slow cooker for the family meal while others turn all the beer green and invite their friends over. Heck, even the most lazy bones among us are guaranteed to find a hopping party already in progress at the local Irish pub that night -- no planning required! Isn't that the best?
