Guy Pops the Question by Designing Most Romantic Video Game Ever

heart on a laptop keyboardNot to sound like a total buzzkill, but cute viral wedding proposals are a dime a dozen these days. Seems like every geek on the Internet is trying to outdo one another by popping the big question in a "quirky" techie way that exhibits their mad photo/video/PhotoShop/Final Cut skills. But nine times out of ten, the result is kinda cookie cutter -- or just really ridiculous. (Anyone proposing via tweet or Facebook post, I'm looking at you.)

Still, that one time out of ten, a guy gets it right and uses technology to make a unique and bold proposal to the love of his life. Consider Jim Brazda, a 31-year-old Omaha, Nebraska photographer, who recently asked his girlfriend Tiffany to be his wife through a video game he designed.

A video replete with tons of imagery and themes from their time together -- like possums (Tiffany hit one accidentally and Jim would never let her live it down), football (they first said "I love you" at the Nebraska football team's season opener), and songs by their favorite local bands. When Tiffany finally made it to the final level, she noticed Jim was on bended knee. And the screen read:

You are my best friend and the love I've always dreamed of. Will you do me the honor of taking me as your Player 2?

Awww! Has geeky ever been so romantic?! Not to mention that the way Jim popped the Q sure beat your now run of the mill lip-dub video or 140-character proposal

Tiffany says of her now-fiance:

From the first night, I found it really easy to talk to him. That's kind of unusual for me. I'm introverted and he's extroverted, and we fit together that way. Like when he blurted out, 'I love you.' He just blurted it out! He creates things. He makes life fun.

No wonder she said yes! A guy who loves his girlfriend enough to strike out on his own instead of run with the crowd and to create something so cool and meaningful for her sure sounds like husband material to me.
