Children of the '90s Have to Watch This Amazing Video -- It Will Totally Bring You Back (VIDEO)

child of the 90sThree people sent this new Internet Explorer commercial to me before 10 a.m. and now it's my turn to share. Calling it a commercial seems inadequate, though -- it's more like a warm hug from an old elementary school friend with whom you used to trade fuzzies, Gushers, and Pogs and fight over the Joystick with while playing Oregon Trail in the computer lab. Simply and eternally, this is the best form of marketing I've ever seen, and if you're also a child of the '90s, I guarantee you'll feel the same way.

In this 80-second ad, you'll yearn for the days before cellphones, Facebook, Instagram, and the Internet in general ... and if you're anything like me, you might tear up, just a little, because dammit, life was simpler in the '90s, and it was awesome.

I don't know if I'm going to switch back to Internet Explorer, BUT, a truly excellent ad. With a line like, "There was only one social network, but most of your friends died of dysentery," how could one not be moved?

(I always died of a snake bite or trying to ford the river -- I don't want to brag and say I lived dangerously on the Trail, but I was sort of a maverick back in '94.)

God I loved this little trip down memory lane. I wonder what ever happened to all those floppy disks and all my trolls ...

What's your favorite part of the commercial? The trolls? The answering machine? The Nike Pumps? Tell me.
