Denver Broncos Screwed Over Tim Tebow & It May Not Pay Off (VIDEO)

peyton manningIs anyone else's head spinning after hearing the news that Peyton Manning has chosen to take his football career to the Denver Broncos? I mean -- something about this whole deal just doesn't seem to make sense, though I'm fairly certain it had something to do with dollar signs. Imagine that.

Peyton choosing to play for Denver over the Tennessee Titans is baffling enough, but perhaps the bigger shocker is the fact that Denver is willing to sacrifice Tim Tebow in exchange for a player who is just getting over a major neck injury. This move is a huge gamble, and there's always the chance that it won't pay off. Why on earth are they being so risky?

Tim Tebow may have not led the Broncos to the Super Bowl this year -- but he got pretty darn close. And since he's still fairly new to the NFL, odds are good that his game will only get better and better as time goes on. Manning, on the other hand, didn't even get cleared to play last season. (Um -- red flag!) Neck injuries aren't something you want to mess with, so it just seems odd that the Broncos are comfortable bringing in a quarterback who isn't a sure bet.

There are only two reasons that I can come up with as to why the Broncos would make such a bold move.

1. They can't resist having a piece of the Manning legacy. Let's face it -- the Manning family is kind of a big deal when it comes to football. Between Archie, Eli, and Peyton, their football career is pretty darn impressive. Maybe the Broncos just wanted to be associated with them in any way possible, even if Peyton doesn't turn out to be a huge success?

2. They were embarrassed by of all the hype surrounding Tim Tebow. And if this one is true, then it's nothing short of pathetic. So many people give Tebow a hard time for being a decent human being who stands true to his beliefs, which is beyond sad. Maybe Denver didn't want to get the reputation of being a team who actually stands behind their players?

You can hear more about Manning's move to Denver in the video clip below.

Do you think that the Denver Broncos are making a good move by bringing on Manning and letting Tebow go?
