Really, Yahoo? You're Suing Facebook?

yahooFacebook really can't catch a break. Aside from the whole worth a bajillion dollars thing, the social networking site is forever dealing with critics, naysayers, and of course, people and corporations trying to sue the pants off of them. The latest legal eagle to go after them: Yahoo.

The lawsuit is stating that Facebook has violated a whole mess of Yahoo's intellectual properties. Yahoo alleges: "Facebook's entire social network model, which allows users to create profiles and connect with, among other things, persons and businesses, is based on Yahoo's" patents.

That's right, guys. the entire concept of Facebook is totally a rip-off of Yahoo. How have we not noticed this on our own?

Here's an idea: Why doesn't everybody stop suing Facebook already? Clearly everyone is just jealous of the ginormous, massive, juggernaut success of the tech company, and trying to get a piece of the action. Kind of like when celebs get super famous -- there's always some weirdo coming out of the woodwork trying to score some cash out of them. The fact that Yahoo is the weirdo coming out of the woodwork, though -- eesh, that's bad.

It makes Yahoo look ridiculous. They're a major company, and I bet if we looked hard enough we'd see things that they inadvertently "copied" from other companies, websites, etc. The Internet is massive. Things overlap all the time. If there isn't blatant plagiarism, well, bets are all off, guys. The only thing this lawsuit does is make you look silly. And, of course, jealous.

Do you think Facebook "copied" Yahoo?
