Tom Brady Cuts His Hair for Dumbest Reason Ever

tom bradyDespite the fact that he's tall, good looking, married to a supermodel, disgustingly rich, and a really good athlete, it seems like Tom Brady has always been a fairly easy person to make fun of. I think this reason is two-fold. One, the man wears Uggs. Two, the flowing mane of golden locks that sit atop his head make him look more like a man ready for a battle in ancient Rome than a man ready for a battle on the football field.

Well, my friends, I'm here to tell you that that reason has been slashed in half. Sports fans and bloggers alike will now only be able to find joy in Brady's penchant for shearling booties, because, ladies and gentlemen, Tom Brady has cut his hair.

The trim -- actually, the hack -- coincidentally came after the Patriots' four-interception loss to the Bills. Brady's new 'do -- a buzzed, cropped, no-fuss kind of situation -- made its debut at a news conference on Wednesday. And some people, i.e. the Boston Globe, are not happy. In fact, they're so affected by Brady's decision, they ran an obituary for his hair, which starts with the sentence: "Tom Brady’s long hair passed away on Monday after brief but controversial life widely chronicled in gossip columns and the sports press. It was 2 years old." And ends with: "In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions be made to the Vidal Sassoon and Aveda lines of hair conditioners." Even in its death, his hair is being made fun of.

So, why did Brady cut it? My guess is it stemmed from some sort of athlete superstitious-type thing. Maybe he thinks his locks were behind the Patriots' loss to the Bills. Who knows? I'm just happy he did it. Because he looks a million times better.

Now we just have to do something about those Uggs.

Do you like Tom Brady better with short hair?
