Hunky Rafael Nadal Models Underwear Like Nobody's Business (PHOTOS)

rafael nadalI've got to hand it to the people over at Armani. They really know their stuff when it comes to picking a dude underwear model. The latest piece to show off their skivvies? Rafael Nadal, and oof, he looks good.

Despite the fact that the 25-year-old Spanish tennis player recently lost to Novak Djokovic, he shows no signs of dejectedness in the ads. Sultry sexiness, yes; dejectedness, no. Staring forlornly at a wooden floor, yes; dejectedness, no.

And of course all you hot guy fans Armani fans out there know that Nadal is by no means the first athlete to model undergarments for the brand. First there was David Beckham stripping down to his unmentionables. Next there was Cristiano Ronaldo. And now there's Nadal.

Nice choices, my friends. Much better than those namby pamby male models.

Something about male models, I don't know, has never done it for me. I mean, don't get me wrong, I can appreciate their attractiveness, but I'm just not ... attracted to them. I look at male models -- especially shirtless ones -- and think, "Wow, that guy must take a really long time to get ready" or "Does he do anything other than go to the gym?" (My thoughts on female models aren't much different.)

Athletes are different, though. They're supposed to look all shredded wheat and in shape when they take their clothes off. They're supposed to look a little rough and tumble with messed up hair. Because they're athletes. And they run around and kick and hit things for a living. Their livelihood depends on their athletic ability and being in shape.

So, thanks, underwear people at Armani. Thanks for featuring a "model" I can feel comfortable gawking at.
