Golf Team Shouldn't Be Suspended for Naked Group Photo

Balls.
Bethany College, a tiny Lutheran school in Lindsborg, Kansas, has suspended its entire golf team for three tournaments as a punishment for taking a naked group photo. Wait -- it's not as bad as it sounds. (And, yes, the photo is after the jump "in case you were wondering.")

Technically, the 15 boys were completely nude, but their mumbly-jumblies weren't on actual display in the picture. They were all carefully hidden behind a piece of golf gear -- some pieces larger than others (just sayin'). And to be fair, the photo was taken from far away. The dudes were up on some sort of grassy hilltop, the photographer near the bottom. To be totally honest with you, if it weren't for a bunch of wieners (sort of) in my face, it would be a very nice photo. It actually sort of looks like an Abercrombie and Fitch ad.

Anyways, the coach of the team, Jon Daniels, decided to suspend the boys on account that they're tarnishing the school's rep. But they're not taking it lying down. Team Captain John Hiscock (I'm sorry, but does anyone else see the irony here?) and the rest of the boys appealed this ludicrous punishment to the college president.

I've gotta say, I'm Team Team on this one. A three-tournament suspension for having a bit of fun that caused no harm, no foul? Seems like someone is over-exercising his power if you ask me. They're kids in college. Who cares? Let 'em have a little fun. It's not like they're out getting arrested. That doesn't happen until the pros.

Do you think this team should be suspended?
