Charlie Sheen Sets Twitter Record, Still 'Winning'!

charlie sheenCharlie Sheen is, in fact, winning -- it's official and will go down in the record books. Sheen, or rather @charliesheen, was able to amass over 1 million Twitter followers in just over 25 hours. He's now in the Guinness Book of World Records for the "Fastest Time to Reach 1 Million Followers" on Twitter. He's now got over 1.2 million.

I'm happy to know I was a part of Sheen's success -- I started following him right away after hearing some of the amazing quotes that emerged from interviews during the week. He seems like he'd be the perfect tweeter -- out of his mind and willing to share everything that pops into his brain. It's no surprise that #tigerblood is a worldwide trend.

This isn't the only world record Sheen holds, though.

He's got the title for Most Times 'Winning' Has Ever Been Said By One Person, and Fastest Acceleration From Normalcy to Lunacy. OK, not exactly. But he does hold another Guinness Record for the Highest Paid TV Actor Per Episode. He was raking in $1.25 million. That's gotta be a tough paycheck to walk away from, but somehow doesn't faze him. He's got Twitter now.

I know I had a good laugh when I read some of his tweets. And his egregious use of the exclamation point makes me think he's always super excited!!!!!! It's fun to read in that tone of hyper third grade girl who just heard cupcakes were being served for lunch!!!!!

Sometimes, though, Sheen's tweets make too much sense. Just last night he tweeted: "Ready for my next fastball, world? PLAN BETTER Applies to everything where an excuse now sits. Try it. U won't be wrong. Ever. #PlanBetter"

Well, can't say I disagree with the man. My older sister taught me not to say, "I didn't have time" but instead say, "I didn't make time" because that's more honest. I think that relates to what Charlie's barking here and I get it.

Now I'm left wondering how a man on the precipice of a mental meltdown is making so much damn sense! Maybe he really is just being honest and "bi-winning" at life.

Do you find Sheen's tweets make more sense than you'd like them to?
